Our Farms

Our Farm in Catandica

Gundana Farma manages 400 hectares of arable land in Catandica, Manica Province – strategically located for fruit orchards, mixed cropping and livestock, with access to reliable water and regional markets.

Every hectare is planned for long-term sustainability, commercial performance and community benefit.

Land Use & Zoning

Our land-use plan allocates the 400 hectares into clear development zones so that orchards, crops, livestock and community partnerships can grow in a coordinated, efficient way.

  • 150 ha reserved for fruit orchards.
  • 150 ha for short-cycle crops and livestock, including poultry, goats, vegetables and feed crops.
  • 100 ha for future expansion and structured community partnership projects.

Agro-ecological Advantages

• Fertile red clay loam soils
• 900–1,100 mm annual rainfall
• Warm tropical climate ideal for Litchi, Avocado & Macadamia
• Gentle slopes suitable for mechanisation and irrigation layouts

Water & Irrigation

Water is one of Gundana Farma’s strongest natural assets. A reliable year-round water source on site supports gravity-fed and solar-pump irrigation, ensuring orchard and vegetable production even during dry periods.

We began with a solar-powered system covering 3 hectares and are now expanding to 10–15 hectares in Phase 2, ultimately targeting full drip irrigation across 150 hectares of orchards.

Irrigation Roadmap

Phase 2: 10–15 ha under drip irrigation for Litchi, vegetables and feed crops.
Phase 3: 50+ ha under expanded irrigation.
Phase 4: full 150 ha orchard irrigation with solar-powered systems.

Production Enterprises

Fruit Orchards

Litchi, Avocado and Macadamia orchards will be established in phases, with proper spacing, drip irrigation and certified seedlings to build a 150-hectare export-grade orchard estate.

Poultry Production

Broiler units are being built to handle 4,000 birds per month in Phase 2, scaling to 4,000 birds per week in later phases – serving butcheries, restaurants and township markets.

Goats & Livestock

A 100-head foundation herd will grow to 500 goats, supplying local and regional demand while providing manure for orchards and crops.

Vegetables & Field Crops

Maize, sugar beans, soybeans and sunflower support both household markets and in-house poultry feed, while 5 hectares of vegetables (tomatoes, onions, leafy greens, okra and others) supply local markets year-round.
