Gundana Farma is guided by a leadership team that combines finance, agriculture, engineering, governance and community development experience in Mozambique and abroad.

Together, this team is responsible for turning a 400+ hectare vision into a modern, irrigated farm that creates jobs, builds skills and delivers strong, long-term value for investors and surrounding communities.

  • MBA in Finance – Hult International Business School (Boston & New York, USA).
  • 15+ years of international experience in supply chain, finance and operations leadership.
  • Leads strategy, capital mobilisation, investor relations and overall governance for Gundana Farma.
  • Passionate about scalable agribusiness that creates rural jobs and long-term community value.
Albert Agostinho Jacalaze
Albert Agostinho Jacalaze
Farm Manager & Agricultural Engineer
  • Degree in Agronomy & Agricultural Engineering (Universidade Católica de Moçambique).
  • Experienced in irrigation system design, orchard establishment and agronomic field operations.
  • Leads day-to-day farm activities: crop management, irrigation scheduling, labour supervision and field logistics.
  • Strong in practical farm systems, productivity improvement and technical project execution.

Agostinho Jacalaze
Director – Community Engagement & Rural Security
  • 20+ years of service in the Mozambique National Police, retiring as Inspector.
  • Deep experience in rural security, conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Leads community mobilisation and the 1,000-family partnership model around the farm.
  • Supports safe operations, land stewardship and strong relationships with local leaders.

The board and advisory team bring decades of experience in governance, education, public health, sustainability and church-based community development.

  • Ensures health, dignity and human development remain central to farm expansion.
