Key Projects & Phases
Gundana Farma is structured in clear development phases that build on each other – from foundations to full commercialization and community scale-up.
Phase 2 – Growth & Proof of Scale (Year 1)
Transitioning from seed-stage infrastructure to cash-generating operations and the first commercial orchard block.
- Plant 10 ha of Litchi orchards with drip irrigation.
- Install solar irrigation to cover 10–15 hectares.
- Build poultry infrastructure for 4,000 broilers per month.
- Establish a 100-head goat herd.
- Plant 10 ha maize + beans, 3 ha soybeans, 3 ha sunflower and 5 ha of vegetables.
- Begin steady supply to local markets and wholesalers.
Phase 3 – Expansion & Commercialisation (Years 2–3)
Scaling orchards, livestock and irrigation to medium-scale commercial levels while preparing for export.
- Plant 30 additional hectares of orchards.
- Extend irrigation to 30–50 hectares.
- Scale poultry to 4,000 birds per week.
- Grow goat herd to 500 animals.
- Increase grain and vegetable production.
- Begin pre-export readiness and GLOBALG.A.P. pre-certification processes.
Phase 4 – Full Commercialization & Community Partnership (Years 4–10)
Building a fully integrated agricultural hub with export-grade fruit, local food systems and a large-scale community partnership model.
- Complete 150 hectares of orchards (Litchi, Avocado, Macadamia).
- Construct fruit processing, packing and cold-storage facilities.
- Achieve export certification and long-term buyer contracts.
- Roll out a smallholder partnership programme reaching 1,000 families.
- Establish Gundana as a key supplier of fruit, poultry and crops in Mozambique and neighbouring countries.
